This economic sector includes, on the one hand, agriculture, livestock farming and aquaculture: exploitation of the land (farming), the forest (forestry), the sea, lakes and rivers (aquaculture, fishing) and farm animals (livestock farming), and on the other, the agri-food industry, which covers all industrial activities that transform food produced by agriculture or fishing into industrial foodstuffs intended primarily for human consumption. It includes the manufacture of beverages, including bottled water.
