Organised every three years by the French Ministry of Ecological Transition and Territorial Cohesion, the National Conference on Natural Risks brings together all the players involved in the prevention of natural hazards. These two days of meetings and discussions aim to build and consolidate a common culture concerning natural risks in order to reduce the effects of natural disasters and the vulnerability of people and property.

The 2022 National Conference on Natural Risks will take place from Thursday 13 to Friday 14 October 2022 at the Strasbourg Convention Centre.

The event brings together a broad spectrum of different players, including representatives of local authorities, associations, NGOs, insurance organisations, researchers, consultancy firms and government departments.

BRGM, an expert in the field of natural risks and risk prevention

To build a more sustainable approach to regional planning and development, BRGM provides integrated solutions to help manage natural risks that impact the soil, the subsurface and the coastline: earthquakes, land movements, erosion, collapse of cavities, volcanic eruptions, clay-soil shrinkage and swelling, coastal flooding (storms, cyclones, tsunamis), and retreating coastline. These solutions also take into account the effects of climate change (rising sea level, etc.).
