The effects of global climate-change are exposing human societies to an unprecedented increase in natural risks and disasters (landslides, floods, avalanches, fires, earthquakes, etc.). With this in mind, the Risks Research programme (PEPR), which is jointly-managed by BRGM, CNRS and Grenoble Alpes University, aims to establish a formal scientific approach to risk assessment to help draw up a new national strategy for natural risk and disaster management.
Presentation of the programme's progress and future calls for projects
The Annual Risks PEPR Science Day will provide an opportunity to review the programme's initial progress – one year after its launch – and present the calls for projects that will be launched from the end of 2024 onwards. It will also give the different players and stakeholders involved in the field of natural risk management the opportunity to meet and discuss the various issues concerned.
This day is open to all research communities, as well as local authorities and operational players involved in the field of risk management.
