The EGU General Assembly 2022 will bring together geoscientists from all over the world for a meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences. The EGU aims to provide a forum where scientists can present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in every field of geosciences.

The last two General Assemblies, Sharing Geoscience Online in 2020 and vEGU21: Gather Online, were organised as virtual meetings due to Covid-related restrictions. In 2022, the EGU aims to once again provide an on-site experience for those who are able to attend in person, while also introducing new concepts to include virtual participants as much as possible. The EGU General Assembly 2022 (EGU22) will be a conference with a virtual component where everybody is welcome, whether in person or online!

The EGU, Europe's premier geosciences union

The European Geosciences Union (EGU) is Europe's premier geosciences union, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the Earth, planetary, and space sciences for the benefit of humanity, worldwide.

The EGU aims to provide a forum for scientists, especially researchers starting their careers, to present their work and discuss their ideas with experts in every field of the geosciences.

Each year, the EGU's geoscience event attracts some 12,000 scientists from around the world.
