The World Materials Forum takes place every year in Nancy and is attended by leaders of companies of all sizes from all over the world to debate with professionals, politicians, scientists and NGO representatives. The aim of this event is not only to express ideas, but also to put forward solutions and help implement them by involving all the stakeholders in the materials value chain, from mining to recycling.
The theme of the 8th edition, which will take place in Nancy from 16 to 18 June 2022, is "Huge challenges ahead: act out of the box".
This event is chaired by Philippe Varin, author of the recent report on securing the supply of mineral raw materials to industry.
Mineral resources: BRGM, a major player for responsible procurement and a more circular economy
BRGM covers most of the mineral materials value chain, from identifying deposits (mines and quarries) to setting up their recycling (urban mines).
Christophe Poinssot, Deputy Director General of BRGM, will speak at the plenary session dedicated to assessing the criticality of mineral raw materials.
