Improving understanding of the subsurface in order to better anticipate its exploitation.

In a context of increasing urbanisation and the climate emergency, it is vital to ensure that BRGM's research in predictive geoscience is able to address the 21st century challenges with respect to the subsurface.

BRGM's teams have been tasked with developing predictive numerical simulation and mapping tools to assist public and private managers in taking decisions on subsurface management and exploitation, over large time scales.
