BRGM has developed cutting-edge expertise in the fields of water resource management, recycling and the circular economy, energy, risk management, polluted sites and soils.

While this expertise has traditionally been deployed to conduct research programmes or to support the development of public policies, regional authorities (notably in urban areas) are increasingly calling upon BRGM to provide operational responses to issues linked to these areas of expertise, which are taking on ever-greater significance against the backdrop of climate change and energy transition.

BRGM provides solutions for authorities and organisations that manage or implement regional  planning schemes

BRGM, the French Geological Survey, has established itself as an indispensable partner to authorities and organisations that manage or implement regional planning schemes. It is actively involved in providing responses to the major challenges facing urban areas today, on a local, national and international level.
