The 28th edition of the Earth Sciences Meeting will take place at the Rennes Convention Centre from 30 October to 3 November 2023 . Spain will be the guest of honour at this event.

The Earth Sciences Meeting, which has been organised under the aegis of the French Geological Society (SGF) since 1973, is the French congress covering all the geoscience disciplines.
 
Held every two years, it brings together players from industry, education and research. It is a unique opportunity to pass on the results of the latest studies, present the main lines of development and communicate on know-how and innovation.

The meeting is also a chance for sector professionals to meet specialists in the various fields of geoscience, encourage exchanges, make contact with future partners and communicate on professions and careers in Earth sciences.

The programme of the 28th Earth Sciences Meeting will include:

  • Numerous scientific sessions, divided into 16 topics
  • 1 "Posters" area
  • 1 "Teaching Geoscience" forum for secondary school teachers
  • 1 "Geoheritage" forum
  • 1 "Careers" forum, to encourage meetings between young people and professionals
  • 1 exhibitors and partners area
  • 1 conference for the general public
  • 1 gala evening
  • 8 excursions and geological tours of the Rennes city centre
  • 2023 SGF awards ceremony
