The GreenHouse Gas Control Technologies (GHGT) conferences are the focal point for international research on carbon capture, storage and use (CCUS). Organised every two years as part of the International Energy Agency's greenhouse gas (IEAGHG) programme, the conference brings together more than 1,000 participants to discuss technologies that will contribute to achieving the objectives of the Paris Climate Agreement signed in 2015.

Organised for the first time in France, the sixteenth conference (GHGT-16) will be held in Lyon from 23 to 27 October 2022.

This year's GHGT-16 is being organised by a French consortium headed up by Club CO2, in partnership with BRGM, IFPEN, ADEME and TotalEnergies.
