The “Fact Sheets on Contaminated Land and Sites – Innovative Approaches” guide provides descriptive information on innovative methods for dealing with contaminated land and sites.

This project was launched in 2019 by BRGM on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment to promote innovative approaches that are little known or used by players in the field of contaminated land and sites.

Practical information for players in the field of contaminated land and sites

The result of close collaboration between experts from BRGM, INERIS and ADEME, these fact sheets provide practical information to clients, operators, public-sector bodies and service providers at different remediation stages (site assessment and/or monitoring of remediation works).

They can help players identify and validate their choice of approach in a given context.

15 fact sheets are now available

The work carried out in 2020 has led to the production of 6 new sheets:

  • CSIA (isotopes),
  • Spontaneous potential,
  • Environmental bioavailability (SET and ERITME indices),
  • Geostatistics,
  • Oral bioaccessibility of metal elements (UBM test),
  • Simplified oral bioaccessibility (HCl test).

A total of 15 fact sheets are now available:

  • 3 “stage” fact sheets: assessment, remediation follow-up and monitoring of environmental status
  • 12 technical fact sheets
