The Télé-GMI website enables users to declare minimum-impact geothermal projects (GMI) online. The online declaration process was introduced in 2015 to facilitate the implementation of the majority of near-surface geothermal operations. Deep geothermal operations – which can have a potentially greater impact on the environment – are subject to a different procedure.
