BRGM leaves X to join Bluesky
In 2024, BRGM adapted its social media positioning to reflect current developments on microblogging platforms, specifically Twitter, the leading service, which became X in 2023.
After ten years on X, BRGM decided to leave this platform in November 2024. This decision follows changes to editorial policy and content moderation on X, which no longer provides the framework necessary to pursue calm debate and prevent misinformation.
Already present on LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube for several years, as well as on Threads – another micro-blogging network – since January 2024, BRGM is opening an account on Bluesky in December 2024. It will include content similar to what we have been publishing on X until now.

Changement d'ère, a new newsletter on LinkedIn
BRGM has also launched a new newsletter on LinkedIn, Changement d'ère. Available directly on this platform every two months, the newsletter will feature inspiring stories on the climate, ecological and societal challenges of our geological era.
