Each year, the Local Water Management Forum (CGLE - Carrefour des Gestions Locales de l’Eau) brings numerous institutional and private-sector partners around the major challenges associated with sustainable water resource management. A key national event for the sector, it provides a unique opportunity for training, professional networking, and developing solutions to current and future challenges.
For its 27th edition in 2026, the CGLE will be held in Rennes on January 21 and 22. More than 650 exhibitors and nearly 200 conferences are expected over the two days.

Water in catchment areas: from watershed functioning to sustainable resource management
22 January 2026 - 14:00-15:00 - HALL 8 - MEKONG
Faced with tensions over water resources and climate change, managing these resources is becoming increasingly complex. BRGM will present the methods and tools deployed in this context to gain a better understanding of how water resources work, in particular the role of groundwater in supporting surface water and the potential mobilisation of these resources for the diversification of production methods, thereby enabling optimised and sustainable management and better information for water stakeholders.
The results obtained in various projects carried out over the last five years in Brittany and Normandy will be used to illustrate the different approaches proposed to respond to the specific characteristics of the territories (geology, topography, developments, etc.) and the needs of the partners.
With four scientists from BRGM: Alexandre Boisson, Pauline Drzewiecki, Erwan Idée and Geoffrey Aertgeerts.
