Organised by the French Ministry of the Environment, the National Conference on Natural Risks (ANRN, for Assises nationales des risques naturels) brings together all the organisations and authorities involved in preventing natural risks in France for two days of meetings and discussions. BRGM is a member of the scientific committee for this year's event.

The National Conference on Natural Risks (ANRN) aims to build and consolidate a shared culture of risk prevention in order to reduce the effects of natural disasters and the vulnerability of people and property.

The 2025 ANRN will be held in Toulouse from 13 to 14 October 2025.

The event brings together a broad spectrum of different players, including representatives of local authorities, associations, NGOs, insurance organisations, researchers, consultancy firms and government departments.

BRGM, an expert in the field of natural risks and risk prevention

To build a more sustainable approach to regional planning and development, BRGM provides integrated solutions to help manage natural risks that impact the soil, the subsurface and the coastline: earthquakes, land movements, erosion, collapse of cavities, volcanic eruptions, clay-soil shrinkage and swelling, coastal flooding (storms, cyclones, tsunamis), and retreating coastlines. These solutions also take into account the effects of climate change (rising sea level, etc.).
