Energy Ambassadors: a meeting with Catherine Lagneau
The French Energy Council is organising a new event in its "Energy Ambassadors" programme, a forum for discussion between young professionals and leaders in the sector.
On Thursday 19 March 2026 at 6.45pm in Paris, Marie-Line Vaiani, General Secretary of the French Energy Council, and the YEP France young professionals’ group will welcome Catherine Lagneau, BRGM Chair and CEO.
In a free-ranging discussion, Catherine Lagneau will talk about the key stages in her career, her interest in the energy sector and her views on the energy transition.
The Energy Ambassadors programme
Launched in January 2024 by the French Energy Council, on the initiative of its network of young professionals, the "Energy Ambassadors" programme aims to create a forum for discussion between new generations and decision-makers in the energy sector.
Through their personal accounts, these speakers will be sharing not only their career paths but also their vision of developments in the sector, the challenges they face and the measures that may be taken to accelerate the energy transition. And beyond these exchanges, "Energy Ambassadors" is part of a wider initiative to promote diversity and inclusion in the energy professions. This initiative has been recognised by UNESCO as an inspiring practice in favour of gender equality and inclusion in scientific communities.
