Inaccessible content

Non-conformities

  • Some external modules are not fully compatible with assistive technologies, such as:
  • the "Tarteaucitron" cookie manager (button contrasts, poor semantics of tags);
  • the "Calaméo" document reader (image and script rendering, poor semantics of tags, list structure, visibility of keyboard navigation, information presentation, field labels, field grouping);
  • "Leaflet" interactive maps (titles of links and buttons, script rendering).
  • tab-based display systems;
  • numerous interface buttons;
  • buttons for closing modal windows displayed over the page;
  • the different fields on the site search function;
  • slide shows;
  • customised tooltips;
  • the button to return to the top of the page;
  • rendering of modal windows;
  • the reset button for the star rating system.
  • Some images are not correctly ignored by assistive technologies when they are purely decorative.
  • Some text alternatives to images are irrelevant.
  • Some images do not have a detailed description.
  • Some image captions are not rendered correctly.
  • The frames of video players and document readers are not clearly identifiable by text-to-speech.
  • Some information on image maps is only conveyed by colour.
  • The contrast ratios of certain text and interface components are not always high enough.
  • Some videos have no text transcripts. The text transcript of the "MétéEAU Nappes" video does not contain the text as an image.
  • Videos are not subtitled in English when this is the language of the page.
  • The videos do not have audio description where necessary.
  • The text content adjacent to the videos does not enable individual media to be clearly identified.
  • The column headers of some data tables are not rendered correctly.
  • Some tables are used to format content.
  • Some links are not explicit and are poorly vocalised by assistive technologies.
  • Some links have tooltips that do not include at least the visible title of the link.
  • Some scripts need to be corrected in order to be compatible with assistive technologies and keyboard navigation, such as:
  • Search results are not updated correctly.
  • Status messages displayed in real time without the page being reloaded when sending forms are not rendered correctly.
  • The source code of the pages is not always valid and can cause rendering problems.
  • Texts in a language other than the page's default language are not identifiable as such.
  • Page titles (browser tabs) are not relevant when filtered searches are performed or when data input errors are made in forms.
  • Structure tags are used for the layout of paragraphs of text.
  • Line breaks in the "Tarteaucitron" cookie management panel are only used for presentation purposes.
  • Some levels of titles do not follow a logical order, causing errors in the hierarchy between titles.
  • The main navigation area and the summaries are not structured correctly from a technical point of view.
  • Some lists of items are not structured correctly.
  • Some attributes used to present information appear in the generated source code of certain pages.
  • Text is not always visible when the font size or graphic zoom is increased by up to 200%.
  • Declarations of element background and font colours are not used correctly.
  • Some links are not visible enough in relation to the surrounding text.
  • Keyboard navigation is not always visible.
  • Some visible content is hidden from assistive technologies.
  • The breadcrumb trail gives an indication by form alone.
  • Custom tooltips become unavailable if the pointer is no longer on the component or on this tooltip.
  • Some form fields do not have correctly associated labels.
  • Some fields of the same type are not grouped together.
  • Required fields in the newsletter registration form are indicated with an asterisk, which is not understandable to all users. The meaning is only given after the validation button.
  • The auto-completion of form fields containing user data is not compliant.
  • There is an avoidance link, but it is not visible.
  • The tab order is not always consistent.
  • Not all downloadable files are compatible with assistive technologies.
  • Viewing a lot of content requires the use of complex gestures, with no alternative using simple gestures when performing a graphical zoom or when the screen size is reduced.
